Splash Page

A Splash Page is an introductory or opening page, in a window overlayed in front of the website- usually the homepage. This Splash Page is shown brightly and the underneath page is darkened. The Splash Page is seen only once - the very first time a site visitor views that page. This is ideal for capturing email addresses or displaying a welcome video. Please see image below for an example of a Splash Page we use.
The system drops a cookie onto the user's computer, identifies returning visitors, and bypasses the Splash Page on all subsuqent visits to the page. Any WMS administrator can easily change a splash page from an email sign up form into something different such as a video clip. By changing the cookie in the WMS, a new Splash Page will pop up for all users, regardless if they've viewed a previous splash page before.
